With a cultural diverse background on her own, Marija holds a Master Degree in Counseling and provides Counseling and Life Coaching services to children, adolescents, adults and elders in English, Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian, Bulgarian and Bosnian.
Prior to moving to Chicago, Marija honored her skills at Lindenwood University and refined them in a research program with Washington University - School of Medicine, Psychiatry under supervision of Dr. Ginger Nicol. She set those skills to trial, and refined them, while working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting with acute cases at Chicago Lakeshore Hospital, gaining experience in crisis intervention, clinical assessments, life transitions, diagnosing and treating mental health disorders.
With her unique charisma she brings to her work an insightful, thoughtful, straightforward, goal-oriented, hands-on, directive and genuine approach, focusing on maximizing clients ability to thrive across all areas of life. She strives to understand each clients unique life challenges and collaborates to develop healthy ways to cope, improve insight into ones behaviors, and foster positive chance.
